Getting there

  • Witton station — Right behind the Doug Ellis Stand; trains from Birmingham New Street take under 10 minutes.
  • Aston station — A short walk the other side of the park, useful if Witton platforms are jammed after full time.
  • Driving — M6 J6 onto the Aston Expressway; the Aston University car parks are the safest bet and clear reasonably fast.

Safe away spots

  • Trinity Road pubs — A cluster of traditional boozers on the approach from Aston station, generally fine for away fans in small groups. Map
  • Witton food vans — Burger and chip vans set up by the station on matchdays — quick before the short walk in. Map
  • Birmingham city centre — For a longer pre-match, the Bullring and Digbeth are 15 minutes away by train before you head out to Witton. Map

    Ornate Victorian gin palace a 12-minute walk away, spectacular tiled interior and rarely visited by away fans.

    Grade II listed Victorian chapel next to the station, an odd but peaceful five minutes before the ground.

Festive programme

No trains run on Christmas Day or Boxing Day and services are thin until 2 January. Assume you are driving or on a supporters' coach.

Witton station's narrow platforms get very congested immediately after the final whistle — allow time or walk to Aston instead.
