Getting there

  • Stratford station — Central, Jubilee, Elizabeth, Overground and mainline all converge here; the stadium is signed through the Olympic Park.
  • Hackney Wick — Overground stop on the quieter east side, handy for the pubs there before walking round.
  • Driving — Don't, unless you must: no stadium parking, ULEZ, and event-day restrictions across the park.

Safe away spots

  • Westfield Stratford — Every chain imaginable and fully neutral — the default away-fan feeding ground, right by the station. Map
  • Hackney Wick bars — Canal-side craft-beer bars like the Beer Merchants Tap; relaxed and mixed before most games. Map
  • Green Street, Upton Park — The old manor's cafés and pie-and-mash shops survive — a pilgrimage more than a plan. Map

Transport alert

Season opener

August away ends sell out early and summer engineering works are common. Book travel as soon as tickets drop — everyone is keen in week one.

The stadium bowl is huge and the atmosphere travels poorly up to the gods — lower-tier away seats are worth the hunt.
