Seasonal calendar
- Notting Hill Carnival — August bank holiday weekend closes much of W10 and W11 and swamps the tube.
- Tube engineering — Central line weekend closures are frequent between Christmas and February.

Getting there
- White City (Central line) — Six minutes' walk; the busiest away route.
- Shepherd's Bush Market (Hammersmith & City) — Slightly closer and usually quieter after the game.
- Driving — Don't. The whole area is a controlled parking zone on matchdays.

Transport alert
Season opener
August away ends sell out early and summer engineering works are common. Book travel as soon as tickets drop — everyone is keen in week one.
Ground note
Loftus Road is very tight — the away end has pillars and steep steps, and legroom is minimal.
Ground note
The Central line runs weekend closures regularly; have the Hammersmith & City as a backup.
