Preston Guild events — Autumn civic events close the Flag Market area.
Christmas markets — December weekends slow the city-centre bus routes to Deepdale.

Bus from Preston station — Services 31 and 19 run to Deepdale in about ten minutes.
Walk — Half an hour through the centre and up Deepdale Road; fine in daylight.
Parking — Moor Park and the surrounding streets, plus the club car park; M6 J31 is five minutes away.
