Seasonal calendar
- Middlesbrough Mela — August festival in Albert Park adds town-centre traffic.
- Winter A66 closures — The trans-Pennine A66 closes in snow; use the A1 and A19 in January.

Getting there
- Walk from Middlesbrough station — Twelve minutes east along the road under the rail bridge, with stewards on the route.
- Trains via Darlington — Most long-distance journeys change at Darlington; check the last connection back.
- Parking — Plenty of industrial-estate parking near the Riverside, and it clears quickly onto the A66.

Transport alert
Season opener
August away ends sell out early and summer engineering works are common. Book travel as soon as tickets drop — everyone is keen in week one.
Ground note
The Riverside is exposed to wind off the Tees — dress for it even in September.
Ground note
Evening kick-offs make southbound connections tight; check Darlington departures.
