Getting there

  • Walk from Middlesbrough station — Twelve minutes east along the road under the rail bridge, with stewards on the route.
  • Trains via Darlington — Most long-distance journeys change at Darlington; check the last connection back.
  • Parking — Plenty of industrial-estate parking near the Riverside, and it clears quickly onto the A66.

  • The Isaac Wilson — Big, cheap town-centre pub used by both sets of fans. Map
  • Baker Street / Bedford Street — The town's best independent bars and coffee, five minutes from the station. Map
  • Parmo shops — Middlesbrough's own chicken parmo is the post-match tradition — Linthorpe Road has the best. Map
