Getting there

  • Sandhills station — Merseyrail station on the Northern line, around 15 minutes' walk along the dock road to the new ground.
  • Liverpool city centre walk — A scenic 30-40 minute waterfront walk from the Pier Head along the docks for those who fancy it.
  • Driving — The A5036 Dock Road runs straight past the stadium; expect heavy congestion given the ground's new capacity and limited local parking.

  • Ten Streets area bars — The regenerating docklands quarter near the stadium has a growing number of bars and food spots. Map
  • Baltic Triangle — A short taxi or walk south, this creative quarter has excellent independent food and drink. Map
  • Liverpool city centre — For the fullest range of options, the Pier Head and Albert Dock area are a 30-minute walk or short bus ride. Map

Restored Victorian warehouses right by the stadium, worth a look before kick-off.

Sunday engineering works

Sunday fixtures are the most likely to hit rail replacement buses into Liverpool. Check the route the week before and allow an extra hour.
