Seasonal calendar
- Balloon Fiesta — August fiesta weekend brings huge crowds and closures on the south side of the city.
- Bristol Harbour Festival — Central roads closed in July; use Temple Meads and walk.

Getting there
- Bus from Temple Meads — The Metrobus m2 runs to Ashton Gate in around 15 minutes; frequent on matchdays.
- Harbour ferry — The best approach — the ferry from the city centre docks at Baltic Wharf, a 15-minute walk from the ground.
- Park and ride — Long Ashton park and ride off the A370 is signposted and quick to clear after full time.

Transport alert
Season opener
August away ends sell out early and summer engineering works are common. Book travel as soon as tickets drop — everyone is keen in week one.
Ground note
Ashton Gate also hosts Bristol Bears rugby — check for double-header weekends with heavy traffic.
Ground note
The A370 out of the city clogs badly after full time; the ferry or a walk beats the bus.
