Getting there

  • Mill Hill station — One stop before Blackburn on the Bolton line and much closer to the ground than the main station.
  • Bus 1 / 1A — Runs from Blackburn bus station down Bolton Road, dropping right outside Ewood.
  • Parking — M65 J4 then follow signs; the club car parks fill by 14:00 but side streets off Bolton Road are usually open.

Safe away spots

  • The Fernhurst — Large pub on Bolton Road that traditionally takes away support, with food until kick-off. Map
  • Bolton Road chip shops — A run of good chippies between Mill Hill and the ground. Map
  • Blackburn Market food hall — In the town centre, cheap and neutral, but closes mid-afternoon. Map

    Cheap, cavernous and unfussy conversion of the old sorting office on Darwen Street.

August away ends sell out early and summer engineering works are common. Book travel as soon as tickets drop — everyone is keen in week one.
